KENNY BAKER ICONS MEN BEHIND THE MASK SIGNED LITHO R2-D2

Long before Coolwaters Productions LLC existed (even before OTHER autograph companies existed, which remain unnamed) there was a company called Icons Authentic Replicas! Icons was the FIRST and ORIGINAL licensed prop replica and autograph company for STAR WARS and its actors. Icons used to represent for personal appearances (world-wide) the original actors for Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Wicket the Ewok, R2-D2, Chewbacca and C-3PO (David Prowse, Jeremy Bulloch, Warwick Davis, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels). It was ICONS who originally brought these fine actors FACE TO FACE with fans and sold sign 8x10 photographs of the characters! This is BEFORE Episode 1,2 or 3 came out and BEFORE the Special Editions!!!! At the time, in 1996, Icons went to Lucasfilm with the idea of creating a BRAND called "Star Wars Men Behind The Masks". A brand that was supposed to officially reveal the actors behind the favorite characters of the STAR WARS trilogy! Icons created an original logo and pitched the idea of a world tour to Lucasfilm. The tour was to include 18 cities world-wide where fans could meet ALL 5 actors FACE TO FACE and purchase original SIGNED autographs of each character (the autographs where to be signed on EXCLUSIVE 8.5x11 photos featuring the MEN BEHIND THE MASKS logo). Sadly, at that time, Lucasfilm was in negotiations with Pepsi for the rights of the characters and the pitch was TURNED DOWN! This tour NEVER saw the light of day. A few of the actors DID make appearances at some select conventions BUT the merchandise was limited to ONLY the photos (at very few of those existed as well)! The tour photos used by the celebrities were 8 1/2 x 11 in size and were printed on special lithograph card stock paper with gloss. The photos were limited in supply and we have just a small handful of these from 1996! R2-D2, STAR WARS iconic character was portrayed by actor KENNY BAKER and Kenny had signed these images in a blue sharpie marker with his character name. These are TRUE collectors items and we will include our standard C.O.A. and hologram sticker with each one. ONCE THESE ARE GONE..... THEY'RE GONE!
