Tracy Martinson

Tracy Martinson is an award-winning producer and storyteller who stands at the forefront of innovation, effortlessly weaving cutting-edge technology with creative vision. Combining her degree in Electrical Engineering with natural storytelling flair, she has collaborated with Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy-winning creative and technical talents. She began her career as a dialogue and music editor for television and film and boasts an extensive engineering album credit list.  Having helped develop the first digital audio workstations, she continued to lead in high-resolution audio and video innovation. She played a key role in designing the first tools for physical media authoring, created the world’s first DVD Audio disc, and produced the first 24-channel DSD recording with Alison Krauss and Union Station’s live album—which went on to win two Grammy Awards.  Following her work producing the live album video, Tracy expanded her scope from audio to video, leveraging her expertise to present complex technical information through creative, engaging content. Since 2012, she has been a trusted collaborator with prolific writer and producer Alex Kurtzman, creating behind-the-scenes content for his projects. This partnership led to her documenting every new Star Trek series since the franchise reboot with Star Trek: Discovery, and the subsequent seven Star Trek properties. Her unique access spans from the writers’ room to the creative and technical talent producing the show through to the post-production professionals. The name of her production company comes from one of her favorite quotes "Be bold—and mighty forces will come to your aid" – Basil King. “To Boldly Go” is in her DNA.
