With a career that spans almost 30 years, Janet Kidder is fortunate enough to have been on stage across Canada and the UK and has numerous TV and film credits to her name. A British Native, Janet moved to Canada in the late 1990’s, attending UBC fine arts programme and the much coveted Studio 58 Theatre Arts programme in Vancouver. She then moved to Toronto and enjoyed a very healthy and diverse career in theatre, film and television. Credits include “Bride Of Chucky”, “La Femme Nikita” and “The Big Heist”, the lead role in the first ever performance of a new George F Walker play, “Featuring Loretta” and culminating in a lead in the CBC series “Tom Stone”, earning her a best actress nomination. Then back to the UK where she starred in a new play “The Private Room” and worked on popular episodic television. She has now been back in Canada, this time on the west coast for the last 10 years and is thrilled with roles that are coming her way these days. Her role in “Ring Of Fire” earned her a Leo nomination and some of her most recent credits include a lead role in the hit show “Limetown” where she starred opposite Jessica Biel and Stanley Tucci, and a guest star role spanning several episodes on “Man in The High Castle”. She has just wrapped an epic project that will be made public in the very near future. Janet is passionate about her work, feels blessed to have made a life out of it for herself and her children and would love to continue acting for the rest of forever.
