James Dodd

James Dodd is a very versatile performer, who has experience in Film, TV and Theatre.

Fans will of course know his role of JOHANN KRAUSS, the leader of the BPRD in the Box Office smash HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY by Oscar winning director Guillermo Del Toro. This role was shared with actor John Alexander, a prolific actor from London.

Other film and TV credits include DOCTOR WHO, MATHEW VAUGHN'S LAYER CAKE, ABSOLUTE POWER with STEPHEN FRY for the BBC, AUF WIDERSHEN PET, FINAL DEMAND and STAGE BEAUTY.

James is also a prolific performer in theatre and opera with credits including David McVicar’s ALCINA with ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA, A USA tour of THE MERRY WIDOW, HANDEL IN HEAVEN for the COVENT GARDEN FESTIVAL, and the role of BARNABY in HELLO DOLLY, where he showcased his strong baritone voice.

James is an accomplished choreographer, who has worked extensively with international choreographer and director Jonathan Lunn. He has also choreographed for the National Youth Dance Company and received outstanding reviews for choreographing several seasons of the critically acclaimed York Theatre Royal Pantomime.

He is an excellent movement performer, and is highly experienced in skin work, including working with full body suits, masks, prosthetics and animatronics for film, TV and Theatre.
