Tara fell in love with acting at the tender age of 13 and has never looked back. She is a celebrated Canadian theatre actress who has played many leading roles upon stages across the country over the past 20 years. Tara has also successfully navigated a career in front of the camera. Most recently, she adored playing Esther Miller on two seasons of Impulse, and is OVER THE MOON to be playing T'Rina - the President of Ni'Var - in Star Trek Discovery S3 & S4. Also of note, Tara was one of the leading players in Helen Shaver's cinematic directorial debut, Happy Place (2019). Tara has numerous other TV/Film credits: The Handmaid's Tale, The Expanse, Murdoch Mysteries to name a few. Tara resides just outside of Toronto, Canada with her beautiful daughter, Eliana, her incredible sidekick, Patrick, & her beloved pup, Millie.
